And it all Begins Here

This Blog is a forum for me to rant about all aspects of life that I care about:  Family, Crossfit, Health, Nutrition, Fitness, Cooking, Travel, Things To Do on a Rainy Day.  I hope to share some new information with you and hopefully you can do the same.

Currently, I'm in the middle of a 30 day challenge to clean up my eating to maximize my Health and Performance in the gym.  Check out http://www.whole9life.com/ . I'm on Day 21 and to be honest the food hasn't been so bad, but the craving for alcohol on a Friday night after a long week is killing me.  So this is my first question out to the world....What do YOU do on a Friday night (besides drinking) to relax?  Working out is always my default, but once I get home it gets much harder.  My easiest route is just to go to sleep.  Taking the kids for a walk has been another option as well, but let's hear it people.  I know you have some better ideas.....

  1. Generally, I'll get a WOD in and by the time I get home I'll have some food, and catch up on some videos in the Journal/MobilityWOD/pretty much everything CrossFit. Pretty lame eh?

  2. Not lame at all. Going to my Mac is a diversion I use all the time to keep from the kitchen. :) And good advice because I could benefit from a lot more research on the internet/books. Btw..picked up Robb Wolf's book. One word...Awesome

  3. The only thing I can think of to not drink alcohol on a Friday night is if you are pregnant! Seriously, sounds like you are doing all the right things. Good luck goat!!
